Description: Vine Linux este o distribuţie Linux integrată în mediu japonez desktop si notebook. Proiectul Vine Linux a fost fondat de şase membri ai Project Japanese Extension (JPE) în 1998 şi a fost dezvoltat cu ajutorul mai multor voluntari. Vine Linux, versiunea de dezvoltare, detine un public software repository, unde toţi dezvoltatorii sunt bineveniti să participe şi să contribuie. Out-of-the-box Kanji este disponibil pentru marea majoritate a aplicaţiilor, avand suport  pentru limba japoneză. Suportul este furnizat fie prin distributia FreeWnn (Wnn6 în ediţia comerciala "CR") sau prin ediţia Canna server.
