Description: Vector Linux este un sistem de operare care are la baza Slackware, care iese in evidenta prin dimensiunile reduse, necesarul hardware deasemenea foarte redus, iar spre deosebire de Slackware, pune la dispozitia utilizatorului diverse unelte de configurare a sistemului, dintre care majoritatea au si interfata grafica. Vector Linux este distribuit in patru versiuni: SOHO (Deluxe), care este si versiunea comerciala a sistemului, bazata pe KDE, si care include o gama larga de aplicatii destinate mediului office si financiar; Standard Edition este o versiune free construita in jurul desktopului Xfce, in ideea de a fi utilizabila inclusiv pe PC-uri din generatiile mai vechi, care dispun de cantitati reduse de memorie RAM; Light Edition se foloseste de IceWM sau Fluxbox, si pe linga un consum redus de memorie - putind la nevoie rula chiar pe 64MB RAM - ocupa si extem de putin spatiu pe HDD, iar Live Edition are doua versiuni - Standard si SOHO, care reprezinta un preview al versiunii Standard, respectiv al celei comerciale Deluxe.
